Dominique Edwards

Dominique Edwards is a passionate defender of the environment. She is a contributing author of the book One Earth: People of Color Protecting Our Planet. The book shares the stories of BIPOC activists who are using their unique talents, perspectives, and passions to defend our planet.

Dominique is currently an urban planner in Chicago. Her focus is on food systems and urban agriculture, specifically strengthening and re-designing food systems in communities of color that are suffering from food apartheid. In our interview with her, she explains more about what she does and also what it’s like being a Black woman in a very male dominated industry.
